Indian/Recurve 3 PICS
« on: February 16, 2008, 11:57:53 pm »
Well going to try this again! This is my first self bow ,this bow is made from Osage Billets W spliced together ,watched an old boy at Mo Jam bend wood last year had to try it so I put some deflex and recurved the tips. Rawhide the back covered the rawhide with Prairie Rattlesnake skins the tips are string wrapped in red and black .Didn't have any of that fancy stuff you all use on overlays so I used Red Oak for knock over lays. The handle is done in black elk hide stitched on two strings of beads red, black and blue, On the back upper limb is a deer track native American symbol for abundant game on lower limb is lightning bolt symbol for swiftness. This bow is 54 inch knock to knock draws #43 @26 inch the young lady doing the honors is my daughter [ she prettier than me] will probably be her bow sorry about photos not an photographer hope you enjoy

Looks like a really nice bow!
When you take pictures next, you could try to get a more neutral background to get more contrast.
the bow is kinda hiding on your sofa.
