Looking good Pappy.
Sending off your flight shooter is very generous badger.
Congrats to pearlie for impressing Gordon. I would have been a bit nervous from the bows he puts out. :-[
In terms of my progress.  Non to date.  To much international travel.  I am currently in Thailand.  April is lighter and will get on it.  Still planning a Osage take down with a 20 yr old set of billets with natural recurved tips

You picked a stave with some character eh bub, should make a cool bow when your done with it.

Congrats Gordon, I'm looking forward to seeing the pictures. I have a Pearly bow too and took it out hunting at least 2 dozen times this year, the kid definitely makes an impressive weapon.

Your bow is looking mighty fine there Pappy,  whoever is on the receiving end of that should be pleased.

I have one about finished and to be honest it's a dud so I won't be passing it on. Roughed out a second one over the weekend and shaped it on the caul, both osage. Will rough out a third one in the next few days, wanna turn out my best work so it doesn't matter to me if it takes several to get there........... and it might. ;)

I ain't broke but I'm badly bent.

Congrats Gordon, can't wait to see the glamour pics.

Pappy that bow is looking down right amazing!

Bubby I believe there is a beautiful bow hiding inside that stave, and I have no doubt you will find it. Pretty colors too.

Got a bit more work done on several options last night including plan A.  Almost ready to get bent!

Well I got the Copperhead skins on last evening and I will have to say they matched up very good, I was afraid they wasn't going to because one was from last year and the other pretty fresh, I was pleasantly surprised.  :) I'll have some pictures Monday after they are all trimmed up.

Well the ocean spray bow turned out really sweet, but she came in under weight. So on to my next candidate - vine maple.

Here are some pictures of the terrific bow that Pearl Drums made for me. I hope you enjoy the pics as much as I am enjoying this bow!

It's fine. The bow is made from a small ocean spray sapling and I knew it was going to be tight with the limited amount of wood available. But it ended up being a dandy little bow and I won't have any trouble finding a good home for it.
