Oh BUMMER Gutshot.  I feel your pain.  But glad you are so determined to make your design idea work.  That's what winners do.  I had a kid's bow explode on me yesterday.  Had it 80% done.  It happens.

Sorry for the lack of posts guys... Been busy trying to get stuff together for a big get together I am going to next week. After that, I should get back to working on my bow.

chasing rings, chasin rings, all I'm doing is chasin rings - got plan A chased and marked, it's still got some drying time.  Got Plan AA started, chasin rings on it, hope to have the done over the weekend.  Plan B is drying, it's going to get chased as soon as AA is done.  AA is actually a seasoned stave, so I would like to get it done this weekend and get it floor tillered.  I FINALLY got my carving ax in that I ordered for Christmas, when I start working on tiller I will post it here as well as a picture of that bad boy.

I finally got around to puttin tips on plan a, the bow i almost gave up on. Did some more pullin on it, and it shoots pretty darn well. Currently 52#@28". Has 3/8 positive tiller. I'm sure those numbers will come down some. Put about 30 arra's thru it. Top limbs a bit wonkee so looks like a stiff spot.

Heres where my plan a vine maple is at.

It feels great in my hand at this point so I think I will quit messing with the tiller unless it makes a drastic change in the next few hundred shots. Now I need to decide what lipstick to use on it.

I got my plan b dogwood starting to bend a couple inches at floor tiller. Its the cleanest piece of dogwood I ever worked. It had one small pin on each limb and they both disappeared already. Think im going to narow outer half of the limbs a little more and then when its bending on the floor a little more it will be time to add a little reflex ond work on string alignment.

Stixs, that's a fine looking arrow flinging stick.  Very graceful looking tips too.  Nice!

Turtle, that bow looks like its done and ready to come out of the oven......you been cook'in in the shop???  I've never had my hands on any vine maple, but from the pics I've seen, it looks like you've done a great job with that bow.  Someone will be a happy archer.
