Sanderson, it looks to me like that kink on the left is also hinging. Have a look at how it moves when you pull on it. Maybe someone else sees it differently

I think Jeff is right about your left limb, Jandersson. To me, it looks like your limb is stiff from the fade to the spot with your whoppty-do (the spot where the hinge is), then it's stiff from past that point to the tip. I'm not sure what the answer is, but I wouldn't bend it any more until you get a game plan together. Just my $.02, take it for what it's worth (especially as a novice).

Bummer!! My porch is empty again too, according to the kids anyway. I won't be home for a couple more hours.

That reflex deflex look sweet, is that the same as the one your pulling back in the pic?

j, I think I'd get that on a form and heat out that kink. It would make things a lot easier for you to see.

Tracking number says the bow was delivered 9:31, left on front porch. Someone has a Loope bow.

I GOT IT!  AND IT'S AWESOME!  pics to follow, it's pouring rain right now or I'd be out shooting it.  Loope, you did great man, you really did!  I think you said it's Dogwood, right?

Sidmand,

I am so glad you like it, and I hope it serves you well!  Yes, the bow is made from flowering dogwood, with cherry handle lamination, and redbud underlays on the tips.  The dogwood is a very white wood, and I remembered you mentioned wanting to hunt with it, so I dyed it a little darker so it would not be a white flag in the woods.  I didn't want to lose the character, so just a light dye on the main body, and then darker on the tips.  The color is from aniline dyes, and the finish is tru-oil.

Congrats Sid!!! That bow looked sweet!!

I made some more changes to the tiller and have pictures...but....i updated my phone and now i cant figure out how to upload using imgur again.  Gotta love technology.

Lost considerable weight so I will give it a heavy heat treatment and see what happens.  Bow is definately long enough to pike if i have to.
