Ajooter, that bow is bending much better now.  I hope the heat treating gets you to the weight you want to hit!

WOW, you guys are getting it done.......looking good.

Dylan, you "nailed" the tiller on your bow.  Well done.

Kid, two very fine looking bows.  Not sure which one I like best, but would be delighted with either.

Ajooter, your bow has come together very well.  Congrats man.

Otter, I agree that the outer 2/3 of the top limb looks stiff.  Work on that a bit and you should be in good shape.

There's going to be some happy recipients soon!

I checked tracking # and for some reason it is at the post office and I will get a "new expected delivery date when it is available".
I guess they don't deliver on Saturday over in ______.
Here's a shot of just a tip  :)

Dylan, that ELB's looking pretty sharp.  I can't wait to see how you finish her up!

Dakota, the ash bow is exquisite!  I love what you did to the belly.  The unstrung profile is also quite nice.  If that is the bow you send out, the recipient will be happy.

The HHB bow does look nice, too.  The work you did on the levers is great!

However, someone needs to have a serious chat with you.  Socks and sandals...  O:)

Dang, I was hoping no one would see that. I almost took the time to crop the pics, too.

German heritage... what can I say.  Seriously though, they keep the knapping flakes from getting between my toes. Plus they keep my sandals from getting offensive to the nose.  They do tend to help distribute wood shavings every where I go, but I just consider that a form of marking my territory.

Finally got a chance to shoot the bow I got from Loope and take pictures today, going to start another thread on it some time this evening.  Got to resize the pictures, they are too big to upload here.  Keep your peepers peeled.

I'm doing some final finish sanding and applying tung oil tonight and tomorrow.  It's been hellishly hot and humid so it's taking a lot of time to finish and dry.  But, it's going out in a couple days, I just want it to be good and dry, and the oil is taking more time than I thought it would.

Well, DuBois, they must think the back of a '96 Silverado pickup truck is the local P.O. then because I got it!!!! :) :) :) :)

I was just heading out at 4:30 to hear a old friend from out of town give an art lecture, it was 90 out and I had just washed up best I could with limited water, after working all day on the cistern armature, and there it was, a long white tube sticking out of pickup truck. I had to drive all the way to town, and listen to the lecture and drive all the way back before I could open it. Needless to say, I didn't linger!

By the time I got back home a thunderstorm had come up (otherwise very welcome) and I just had time to cut the end off the tube, admire for a moment , before I had the string on it and ran outside with a couple of arrows. It hit where I looked, nice and hard, even without my thumb arm guard, with the skies black and drops starting to pelt down. Then I ran inside and wrote this.

Thank you, thank you, Marco!! :) It's beautiful.
I love it when a plan B comes together....
