I am glad you like it Sidmand.  I had a great experience building it and I hope you have a great experience in the field.  May it bring you much venison!

More progress for you guys:

Here's the bow straight off the form.  I'd say it held its shape pretty well.

I then cleaned it up a wee bit, taking off the tape from the osage and trimming the sides a bit.  I thought I would get the handle section glued on before getting more glue off of it, so here's how it looked before gluing it together (cherry sandwiched between maple):

Here she is glued up and clamped down, placed in my "solar hot box".   8)

I used more Smooth On, so it cured real quickly in there!  Now, it's down to roughing out the handle, getting the tape off the boo, and getting the sides trimmed.

I haven't cleaned it up to the bamboo yet, but I'd say it looks okay.

Ty that bow will be one sweet azz rig when you are done, Im betting on it.

Kyle that is a great gift right there. With a tiller like that you can bet it will last for a long time.

Swampman, you do fine work. Thanks for sharing the pics Kyle!

Pearl Drums, and to all who've said the bow is looking good, the bow is coming along well and I really appreciate all the encouraging words.  We'll just have to see how the tillering goes before the final verdict comes in...  I know Roy has some good videos and pictures out there for how the bow should look while tillering and at full draw and I'm sure you guys will be of great help, but I'm still the one who will have to get it bending right!

Kyle, I am glad you have been shooting that bow.  It looks like you have another nice stick laying in the grass in the one picture.  I thought maybe it was a snake at first glance.
