Kalamazoo Living History Show

Have any of you been to the Kalamazoo living history show? I see it was coming up next weekend and thought about going but didn't know what to expect. I was wondering what they have there for the primitive archer maybe flint, obsidian or other materials. Anyway I'm sure it will be a very interesting show.

Been a good spell since I went but was always a good show
there was not much there for archery but since then the Rendezvous  folks have gotten more into archery so I would expect  to see more than there used to be. Anyway it is a good and big show so you will enjoy it
have fun

Been going for years. One flint knapper will be there, Ed Mosher. He sells finished products and some materials. This show caters to folks that go to re-enactments, dress period, several black powder guns and supplies to make the guns, books, clothing etc. Most if not all the vendors  wear period type clothing. Lets put it this way if you wear jeans and a tee-shirt you will stand out, lol

A truck load of us go every year to wonder around for the day. Will have to miss this year as I will be keeping an eye on my 2 year old grandson for the day.

Will add that since last years show three of the four guys that went have made black powder long guns from materials bought at the show.
