Goodbye kenebago....hello large car!  After many, MANY electrical/mechanical problems with the kenebago and much complaining on my part, the boss hooked me up with an old school peterbilt!  She's a 2005 379 extended hood with a 550HP Caterpillar engine, super 10 manual transmission and a sound system that'll rattle your fillings out.  This old girl is tight!  I thought it had a terrible rattle at first, but after I tracked the source down I found that it was just the subwoofers rattling the arrows in my quiver.  Moved my quiver and no more rattle.  Some of you may think me crazy to move out of a 2013 truck into 2005, but all the emissions junk on the new stuff is a maintenance nightmare.  This truck should prove to be much more reliable and therefore much more profitable.  So far I am plumb tickled with the performance and handling.  Thanks for looking!  Josh

Pete's are good trucks. I worked for Kansas City Peterbilt / Utility trailers for 18 years before health caused me to retire.
I worked on the trailers for 35 years. Enjoy the new toy.

Glad you finally got your new old school ride.  Hope that means you can get to the Classic a little faster next year.

Know what you mean Doc. Around here guys are taking Thier old motors and transmissions and putting together gliders. I like my 1985 Kenworth, she spent first half of her life hauling fuel at metro airport 31 years old with 94,000 mi. Rides nice yet painted her yellow about 8 years ago.

Congrats on the new ride. My dad drives 2000 379 with a Cat engine and an 18 speed. 1.8 million miles on the odometer and its still running strong. He'll drive it till one of them retires ;)

Nice ride Josh! I love those Pete's! I drove a peterbuilt super slider wrecker back in 99 for a buddy's wrecker company. What a great truck!
