osage outlaw:
Tracy, I wonder if we could do a pit fire deer?  That late in the year I'd probably have to borrow a muzzle loader to get one.

Badly Bent:
Now thats a fine group of characters in those pics, good times were sure to be had there. Like the others said those kind of gatherings are always fun, bow crafting, story telling, good natured ribbing, food and drink and a good host. Good to see that going on, thanks for posting.

Like a pig? I'm sure one of us could harvest a nice doe or skipper to experiment with. I like that idea!

Ozzy and I could help get things ready before since we are close.

bubby:
I've pit roasted goats and it is magnificent, a deer sgould be exceptional as well

Buckeye Guy:
Goat roast at outlaws !
Reminds me of the good ol days we would bye a goat and turn him loose on the back forty just so we had something to hunt for our gathering.
Just be prepared in case he wonders off the back forty cause you will get a butt chewing big time
"But sir I had no idea a goat would chew thru that rope we had him tied up with! "
Best not listen to my yarns could lead to troubles
