Heat treating hornstone?

Yeah I find flakes like that in almost any material.
I more or less chalk them up to being cooked in an open fire pit.
Not so much intentional. The sites I used to hunt repeatidly,
would usually have many heat altered flakes in the same area.
Usually the ones flaked off of heated preforms.
I hate no till farming O:)
