Brother and Sister Bows 4 my kids

Christmas presents for my son (age 4) and daughter (age 5)...

Identical stats (except for skins)

Hickory
38" ntn
15# at 18"
sea grass handle wraps
Kids names and the meanings of their names on the bellies

They shoot little Nerf arrows fast all over the house! They really loved them. I figure with all the time I spend making bows I'd be a terrible dad if I didn't make some for my kids. Plus, Osage Outlaw inspired me to get the ball rolling. Thanks brother!

Nice work.   Tillering a kids bow can be tough.  It will help you on your next build.

Really cool looking bows. I like handle wrap and skins the most. Why are kids bows hard to tiller?

Being so short, the arc is greater/tighter.  Plus you have less room for error.  Errors are magnified exponentially as you go shorter and you have less working room to recover from as you go.  Upstate just set the bar a little higher for the rest of us here.
