GUAVA longbow. (pics)

This bow was made out of a sapling, it has a wicked bend on the upper limb that makes the braced profile and the full draw look a bit strange, but this was the best tiller I manage to get out of it.

68" ntn, assymetrical limbs with 1/8" of positive tiller, 63 # @ 27", strait after shooting it goes to over an 1" of reflex in a short time, being shooting it in with 800gr arrows and she likes them a lot.

Finished with spar urathane, the overlays are my favorite material, spolted Guava

I wanna show the grip before I wrap it

That guava's got some purty color and grain in it - cool lookin knot, you could almost use that for an arrow rest.
When you come upon a track or trail you do not know, follow it to the point of knowing.

Is that the natural color of guava or did you stain it??  What ever it is .... I like the color!!

It's beyond me how you make bows out of them little sticks ;D. Seems like I gotta have a six inch tree or better to even consider it - that's lookin good :).
