Man, I've been asked this before and I have to ask you - don't you work ;D? Those seem to resemble where shoes may have come from - pretty cool :). You seem to be steadily putting out nice works - If I only had more time :)...

It's 2-3mm calf hide.

The consept is so simple it has been used in many different parts of the world, and at many times. It's basically just an A4-sized sheet of hide wrapped and laced to the foot. It didn't take more than two-three hours to make both.

Yes, nice shoe! It was also worn in roman times. Its an easy cut and very comfortable to wear. We, my wife and me have a pair each and wear it in summer.

If there is someone interested in a pattern, I have it somewhere and could scan it for you.

You just changed my shoe- making world ;D. Up til now the best moccasins I've made were squirrel skins case-skinned and pulled over my foot :D!

The search has begun! 1 attempt- nothing. I think IŽll open the shoe and then make a copy. It`s easier than searching.

really cool.  they are kind of like a bag around your foot aren't they.   50 years of stalking around on the hard ground after game, and one would really be a flat foot stooge, eh.
