Now the hard part, letting my current boss know I'll be leaving there.

Kyle

A good boss will be happy for you, anything less than that simply justifies further why you are leaving for another job opportunity.

Good for you. Congratulations.
+1 what Jdub said.....just don't forget to make some wood shavings...:)

I agree with JW to Kyle. A good boss is going to miss you, but be happy for you and wish you the best.

Congrats, bud!!
... alone in distant woods or fields, in unpretending sproutlands or pastures tracked by rabbits, even in a bleak and, to most, cheerless day .... .  I suppose that this value, in my case, is equivalent to what others get by churchgoing & prayer.  Hank Thoreau, 1857

Way to. Go Kyle!  A good boss will be sad to See you go, glad you are making an advancement, and glad to have you back if it doesn't work out!  And buy you a drink when you meet downtown >:D :).

Congratulations Kyle. I used to work in a Sheriff's office jail.  I loved working there. You get to meet so many great people that just made some very poor choices. I am sure you will like that job.

good luck with the new job. I've worked for the County gov. for over 20 years and hope to retire soon. The benefits and retirement are what kept me here. And by the way my beard is doing just fine !
