I have a really good buddy that I've made a couple bows for. He hunts with them and likes to watch me work on them. I was chasing a ring one of the left over Osage staves Clint gave me and he was closely watching me and asking questions. I finished chasing the ring and he picked up my scrapper. He finished cleaning up the back of the stave. Then he picked up my draw knife and started roughing out the stave. I told him this could be his stave to work on.

 That is great! Some of my favorite memories are building bows with my friends.

Yup helmet. It will be nice to have. Buddy to build bows with. I really enjoyed helping him out and he handles the draw knife really well.
