   I sometimes take one of those little Japanese handsaws and cut about 6 slots within 5/8" of the back over a 4" span. I could make a wedge to fit in the slot but have never bothered Epoxy seems to work fine. I have a hickory stave I plan on doing this to and I will add wedges on this one.

I'm with Arrons' thoughts.Kind of looks egyption like profile.Very nice work and a very nice bow.
I'm pretty sure EA40 smooth on would hold those glue lines for ya.It likes a rough texture also.

That really is a heck of a pretty profile.  X2 on reminding me of an Egyptian horn design...I really like that, nice bow!
