« on: April 08, 2008, 08:39:37 pm »
sup guys? i use my side quiver for hunting, but it tends to get hung up on the dense louisiana brush. i think id have the same problem with a back quiver cuz im so tall. any solutions? and i shoot a long bow, so i bow mounted quiver isnt really an option. help plz. ???

At 6' and have no trouble with a back quiver. Though a Plain's style should give you even less, and require less "tuning" to shut it up like back quivers sometimes need. Or you can just carry the spare arrows in your hands like some of the guys here :).

plains style hangs at your side and in front. the arrows are basically right under your arm. it is better than back quivers i think.

sup recurve,  the brush is pretty dense here in n tx too, I use a back quiver when hunting, it keeps it from gettin caught in the underbrush, and when i have to crawl or walk under low hanging brush i just swind it around to the front or hand it over one shouklder facing forwards so I can manuver it.  To quiet it from ratteling I stuff a couple of rabbirt pelts at the top around the arrows.

I use my homemade sidestalker.....can't be beat!  In the Ky woods I haunt, its thick with wait-a-minute vines......and that side stalker just slides on past!

Till shade is gone, till water is gone, into the Shadow with teeth bared, screaming defiance with the last breath, to spit in Sightblinder's eye on the Last Day.
