yew to trade for serviceberry

Taxus brevifolia:
It's supposed to grow in my area, but damned if I can find it yet. Until I do, I'm keeping a stave or two of good pacific yew in reserve to trade for some serviceberry.

Talk to High Desert!  It helps to be near the coast though, I think )-w( (lol)!

It can look a lot like Ocean Spray. in fact the first piece I cut I thought it was OS until I got home. It was growing in the middle of an OS clump. Once you've found one it can make it easier to pick out. The round leaves are my clue.

Gotta wait for the leaves to fully come out to identify it. Be patient and you’ll see it all over.
