yew to trade for serviceberry

I find it in the same kind of area that OS likes. The area I gather in is 35-40 year old second growth. Saskatoon(serviceberry) grows tall in that stuff and the leaves seem to be only at the top so "look up, look way up".  ;D

Eastern and Western serviceberry are different, same genus, different species. I could probably find a suitable Eastern serviceberry tree to cut if you'd be interested in it. The Eastern variety are understory trees here where the Western variety is more of a multi-stemmed shrub.

Taxus brevifolia:
I don't think it grows here much. I expected to find it last spring, and I looked hard. But nada. I just haven't found the right pocket I guess.

It does. It’s about as prevalent as OS. Oval shaped leaves that are slightly serrated.
