I've seen them in Abbeville, SC. never saw them there 15 years ago.

They are on the notrh side of the mo river in centre of the state now .very destructive and very dangerous  to handle as in infectious.

I knew about that, and that keeps me from messing with them. However,  I wonder if just because they CAN, how many DO? Ticks have that meat allergy,  but I havent got it yet ( though a forum member here has got it and I hope the effects go away ).
