My shortest juniper/sinew bow
« on: June 20, 2020, 08:39:40 pm »
A stout little juniper stick earns its artwork. 52# @ 19”. Only 38.5” NTN. Asymmetrical limbs.  I really enjoy flinging arrows from such a wee little bow, but no slouch on speed and power either. ;D

The "fat pics" strike again, intermittently, with no rhyme or reason.  Open to suggestions...

Dang that’s some impressive wood/sinew there.  To remain straight unbraced with so much bend in the center shows how elastic that wood is there.  Looks like it would make a great backpacking bow.

Nice work. I also have short bows similar to yours. Fun to shoot.

You just keep cranking out those sinew shorties. This one appears to be mostly sapwood? I really like your style and artwork. Well done again! You may want to consider a hosting site for posting your pictures to avoid "fat pics". Just a thought.

38.5" and 53# - now that's a thing!!!
Looking at the fd I think you could do some scrapes at the outers for a little more bend there. Until you reach the 90° string angle.

But again, that's an awesome stick!
