Oooo-weee! Dammit son! I just got home from working in Ohio again, was on call the last two nights, and have not slept a wink since Wed. afternoon. Now I’m too jazzed to go to sleep, dangit. My new Kenetrex Mtn Guides were sitting in my garage along with a box from the Gutster! Love it man! Pretty flaking pattern that I did not do justice with photos, and you have to give details on how you did the nice hidden tang attachment.
Patrick, I was given a few boxes of some killer-diller mixed stone from an absolute treasure of a new friend and incredible human being here in Wheatland. I’m going to see if he minds if I tell his story on here…he may post on here or maybe he used to. I’ve decided his story/stories need to get out there after drooling slack-jawed in his trophy room at the many, many impressive species he mounted himself…including the current Wyoming typical no 1 mulie, the world number 4 Dall at the time he killed it, a stud Billie, Moose, mtn lions, monster Elk etc…..all taken with trad and primitive gear! Anyhoo…I digress. He can no longer knapp due to physical issues, and he gave me all his rock. I think some of it that I took some flakes from is Flint Ridge, as it is super pink with some blues…gorgeous stuff and holy Toledo does it flake like a dream. I’m going to dive into trying to make something beautiful and sharp for you tomorrow. Get me your full name and address here or via PM, and I’ll get something done and in the mail as soon as I can.
Here’s gut’s…I mean MY blade! Woot!
