Started on some knives

It's been a while since I've done any knife work.  I roughed out a few blades from some 1095 billets today.  I'm going with a slight recurve blade shape.  Something new for me.

Good to know about the metal types.  I just ran into a blacksmith today who pretty much echoed you.  He likes 1085-1095 best for knives.
