Yew for Yew
« on: August 13, 2021, 05:16:02 am »
Heyho, I've got good news!
A former school mate of mine has become chief ranger in a protected forest full of yew. The yew stands too dense for natural revjuvenation so I was comminssioned to cut out the redundant trees.
I'm really happy with this mandat and decided to give two sets of bows and arrows to the rangers. One bow I made myself. The other comes from my friend Erik who also received a nice set of logs. Can't believe he generously gave his unbelievable legendary double hollow limb for this event...
cheers

btw: thanx all for posting your nice bows again - I always enjoy your pics!

Beautiful bows. Hard to beat yew, for the romance of archery.

That yew grove looks like a bowyer's dream

Both bows look like they just came out of some fantasy world... They look too good to be man made.

Congratulations on falling into such great fortune! I am happy for you. And maybe just a little jealous, too.
