My Grandpa always used to say "Doesn't matter how long one lived.  They lived their whole life!"  Been my mantra ever since.

Truer words were never spoke. Have almost lost my wife several times. My dad is a hodgkins lymphoma survivor of some 30 years or so. Just lost a young lady friend to what docs called a cardiac arrest at 27 yo.
We just never know what each day will bring.

mullet:
A real life experience does make you slow down and think about some things. I know I have since the bout with cancer and then the stroke in July.
