Here is what I have done so far. Ideas???

I wasn't too worried about rot, until I saw that last picture(side view).  Something weird is occurring in the dark area of the tip.

Most likely some kind of fungus, if I had to guess, because the coloration is not coming from the heartwood, and doesn't occur anywhere else.

Will it work??? I don't know, but sure is a big risk

Persimmon has a dark hue to it unlike other whitewoods. I really don't think it's rot.

Bad news… the checks are still growing after I sealed it a second time and filled them with CA glue. I’m not sure what else I can do. I’ll work on it after the hickory bow I’m working on. We’ll see what happens
