Cracks?

It does not look like a drying check. I see such deep cracks when I mishandled logs while splitting them, usually in the belly splits. If it passes the bend test and does not go all the way to the belly, I would back it with wood or bamboo, even though I rarely make backed bows. I would work on it a little more.
