graduation gift knife

Thanks, everyone. Pappy and Greg, I hope I get to try my hand at the "John stone" competition next year. This glass--if you ever see them wrecking an old store front, go grab some of the glass tiles. They work really great. I am giving an abo demonstration Saturday at the 4H gathering in Gainesville, GA. I hope I do OK. I have some good tools that I have made and some good Texas rock, so I hope I can get 'em somewhat THIN.

When you say "store front" are you talking about plate glass or the glass blocks that some of the '50's and '60's era stores used like building blocks?

It is like big pieces of colored glass about one foot square that they used to use on the outside of buildings in the forties. They put it up like tile with mastic or putty or something, anyway, when they tear down the buildings, you can get some of the glass, and it knaps like butter. It is really fun to work.
