A little better

Muskyman:
I’m just exactly like Einstein’s definition of insanity with this endeavor. I just keep doing the same thing expecting a different result. I sit there thinking, if I do that it’s gonna hinge, or if I do that it’s gonna break. And of course, it does. What I am learning is how to better do damage control after I hinge a piece or something along those lines.
Enough about my ignorance. Here’s a picture of one of the obsidian pieces I mentioned that I was gifted. Pretty cool looking stuff . I’m thinking it's burns green maybe.

bjrogg:
That is pretty looking stuff. Funny how many colors obsidian comes in. Even the same piece

PS I think we all have to be a little insane to keep this up. I’m still doing the same thing but I’m start to get better at it. And so are my results. At least some of the time

Muskyman:
Made another one today. I took my time a little more with this one. Not much better than the others but, I did it with the first piece I tried so I’m counting that as a win.
Still need to work on my notching

YosemiteBen:
I think that piece of obs is what is called gold sheen.

Muskyman:
What ever it is it’s beautiful. Thanks Ben. I have a diamond blade wet saw and I’ve been thinking about sawing it into a few slabs so I don’t waste any of it.
