100% Primitive Bendy Handle Takedown Bow Design

I love this

Bob Barnes:
You are definitely thinking outside of the box.  I like that it also narrowed the handle since it should make a wider variety of arrows to be used.  I do wonder if (maybe) your original design might be combined with the rawhide design.  It seems to me that the two pieces of wood could be used to fill the void on the sides of the rawhide and hold the rawhide down better as well (after being wrapped).  Good job.   :OK

I'm kinda hoping some of you more experienced bowyers try out this design. I'm sure there are many improvements to be made both mechanically and aesthetically but I've reached my creative limit for the time being.

If the magazine were still operating I'd recommend you write an article for it. This really is fascinating in terms of invention and utility. It's primitive adds to the cherry on top. I'm very glad you joined our forum :)

Thanks again, I really appreciate it. I think it might be worth doing a thoughtful article at some point. The design is still rather young though and still needs long term testing and perhaps some refinement. Glad to finally join!

Yeah I think that would be a good idea, I don't love the gap between the rawhide and binding and adding the wood back in would solve that and allow for a solid surface to glue the binding to. I also want to potentially replace the binding with something more solid and durable, probably some kind of braided rawhide band that will tighten over the  joint. Lots to try, glad you like it!

Innovation worthy of a patent.  But thats not why you are here.  Appreciate you sharing and shining bright.  The design has other applications like a primitive  takedown shelter for example.
