I think its on me, my recipient had to drop out right before Christmas, so I'm having to re-do mine from a lefty bow to a righty.  I should be finished in a week or so and I think we would be ready to ship then.

Thank you very much for making this event happen. It is a critical component of this community to getting new folks both involved in bow making as well as talking with eachother and tightening the community into a family component. Your contributions here are not unappreciated and I really want to thank you for your efforts.

It's been my pleasure. For a number of reasons I don't really build bows at the moment but I value this community and the trade keeps me involved.  I have started a thread asking for observations/suggestions for future trades, and I welcome any comments.  Shameless plug, I will be launching the 2026 junior trade early in February for anyone that is interested  ;D

Hey guys, well I put my bow in the mail January 23rd, but due to all the weather we have had here in NC and around, the tracking still says its "moving within the network".  So hopefully it will make it to its intended recipient soon.

Hope everyone is staying safe and warm this winter, its the coldest and most snow and ice we've had here in a long long time.

Ok, WOW!

Nice little package came in the mail today!  My kids were excited to see what was inside (I was too) so we tore right in.  I was shocked, and I mean shocked, as I pulled the contents from the tube.  This bow is beyond any expectation I ever had, not just for this trade but for any bow in general.  Im stunned.

My "requirements" for the trade were that I love short bows.  The challenge was go as short as you can with the best draw weight and length you can.  How about a 52in ntn bow that pulls 54lbs at 22in.  Yeah thats awesome!  And its yew, sinew backed, and the tiniest little tips, and a bear claw rest!  Again, WOW!

Just realized I haven't given credit to this expert bowyer.  My bow was built by Steve, aka walski.  Who ironically enough had a had in my build this year since I used a stave he gifted me last year after the trade to build my bow.

Steve, to answer your question, this doesn't meet, it far exceeds my expectations, this is a thing of beauty and a true work or art as well.  I am humbled by this gift and grateful for the effort you put into it.  It's already taken its spot on my wall of go to bows (only 3 on that wall).

The weather here has been horrible lately, so no shooting today, but I'll hopefully get it out this weekend for a shoot and some better pics.  Until.then, here's the unboxing pics.
