...or maybe just make this one into firewood, quit kidding myself, and leave juniper to the ancient Native Americans, or at least to those in a region with straighter juniper available.   :o :o :o

I’m having a hard time figuring out what exactly I’m looking at.  On that last pic….what is that pencil line?  I’m assuming I’m looking at the side of the bow, as the knot is in the side/edge.  Is the back to the left or right in that last pic?

Don’t make firewood out of it till it tells you it’s firewood!

Yes, in the last picture you're looking at the side.  The back is to the left, belly to the right.  The pencil line is approximately where I would probably cut if I were to just remove the knot entirely.
