Todd's Bow
« on: October 28, 2025, 06:02:14 pm »
This is Todd's bow. Todd is writing a book. Travelling the world, visiting various bowyers. Making a bow with each.
We made his from laburnum. Its the historic "Bodman" Design, 3500bc, original made from yew, only stretched in length by 10% to get a 29" draw. 63" ntn. 60#.
That was a fun build. You can follow Todd's Journey on https://www.anchorpointexpeditions.com/project-quiver
Cheers

Thanks guys!
The nock inserts are little plates from cowhorn. First mske the slots with a flat file, then match thickness of the horn. A little lip on the horn towards the back of the bow covers the glueline.  :)
