Bamboo backed Osage English Longbow
« on: October 31, 2025, 03:09:59 pm »
Here’s a bamboo backed Osage English longbow. Pulls 35# at 28”. Tips are Purple Heart in the cone style normally see With horn. The Osage had several knots leading to lots of chatoyancy. It turned into a nice mellow shooter with decent speed, it made a fun little shooter.i can’t remember exact dimensions and I don’t have it anymore to measure. But it’s 70” nock to nock, about 3/4” wide at the handle, parallel 14” each way of center tapering to 5/8” about 12”, then tapering to 3/8” nocks. These numbers may not be exact but will be close.

I love everything about your bows. Your horn style nocks, horn or not are impressive. And, like Del, I learned a new word.  :OK
