Hickory – black cherry – osage, 43#@28"

Simple deflex reflex laminate bow, 43 pounds at 28 inch, the last of the year. Hickory back, black cherry core, osage belly, handle is also osage. Hemp twine in the handle. Nocks are waterbuffalo horn. Varnish finishing. Length 1780 mm n/n, width 30 mm, weight 626 grams, total taper rate 0.007.

Beautiful bow, love the hemp wrap grip, that is how I do most of mine, very tough and feels good to the hand. :)

Very elegant and beautifully crafted. Seems a bow you could carry for an all day rove with ease. Very sleek in style.

Thank you for your kind words! I think I can make bows (with almost 20 years of experience), but I still have a lot to learn. There are many skillful bowyers here whose work I admire. Also, many of you are posting beautiful selfbows—hopefully my laminated bows are not too modern here. I should make some selfbows too (when I have the time…).
