I'll get us started if thats ok?  Just did a Z splice to give me a 70" Yew Stave.  It's got potential for a trade bow.  One limb has about 20 degrees of twist that I'll steam and hopefully straighten out.

Got it. Now, what kind of bow to build? Any preference on what kind tall would like me to make?

Life is like a box of chocolates, it's full of surprises  >:D.      Traditionally these trades are based on secret Santa principle as it stops someone ordering a bow and possibly being disappointed if they don't get what they hoped for,

Got my assignment! I'm thinking it'll be osage for this one with some unique overlays... I've had this idea since a trip to Santa Fe last year and here's my incentive to give it a go.

I’ve pulled several staves from the rack, trying to decide what style of bow to build.  I usually rough out two of the same bows, and finish one, just in case something happens to the first bow, I can meet the deadline.   I can’t wait to see what someone surprises me with.

Decided I’ll see what I can get done with this honey locust stave. It’s been a while, probably 8 years, since I’ve done a honey locust bow. So let’s see how it turns out and what I can get out of it.

Well that knot took a minute to clean out. But ring is chased, I only could go down one without getting too thin in the handle. Working on marking it out now

Looking good Kyle!  I'm at about the same place you are.  Handle and limbs ready for tillering.  Just finished removing some twist using steam and a lil bit of heat.  I might reflex the tips slightly.

Have a mild heat treat and bent into shape. Has a little twist to take out and even out the reflex in the limbs. It held a lot more of the movement than I expected. Only had about 1/2” of spring back and negligible untwisting. So ready to fully tiller out.
