Osage Bow
« on: February 21, 2026, 08:07:01 pm »
One I finished up recently after a long break. Osage flatbow with Ebony tip overlays and a handle lam a buddy included with a big box of hardwood chunks. Not sure what it is, but it's pretty stuff.

Bow is 64" ntn, 50#@28". Some snakey-ness and character throughout. A little reflex/twist out below the lower fade.

Oh yeah, that will get the job done. Tiller is well balanced, and evenly distributed.  Good job on that :)

Looks like a good bow for hunting. Nice details.

Handle wood looks like mahogany.

Nice!  I like the handle shape and arrow pass.  You should submit this for February BOM.

Great looking bow Damon. Tiller looks as good as it gets, and looks like very little set. Good to see you back at it.

Thanks for the kind words, gentlemen.

Hamish, I made another bow with mahogany handle a few years ago, I think you may be correct. This one has a lot nicer figure in it.
