Souvenir I made my wife
« on: March 01, 2026, 10:53:06 am »
My wife and I recently attended the Knap in at Silver Spring State Park in Florida.

We made a nice vacation of it and really enjoyed the trip.

I bought some nice rock for myself as a souvenir.

My budget for stone is not very big. But I didn’t spend much on souvenirs so I justified it to my wife as so.

Of course this left her without any souvenirs. She looked at a few things but I talked her out of them telling her I would get her something.

Here’s my souvenirs

And here’s what I made for my wife. She was thrilled with it.

I figured out I could grow these palm trees just like mushrooms.

PS I should have enough of my souvenirs to make something for the whole family

Glad you like it Thomas.

I made the palm tree from a special piece of maple my long passed uncle saved. I split it into pieces and I used a hand coping saw to cut out the palm branches and trunk.

I knapped the point from a piece of coral I got in Florida. I halft it to my palm tree with pitch glue and sinew.

My kind of souvenir. The only thing I bought was the stone.

Thanks guys. Glad you like em.

I like the concept to Robert. I’m already thinking about if I visit the desert. Nice big cactus.
