I wouldnt blame the boo on this one. I just had the opportunity to examine a 84#@28" 66"ntn glass backed and bamboo bellied longbow like HH made them in the early 50's. The bow is 29mm at the widest and does not show set, in fact its got 1.5" backset.
Bamboo seems incerdibly strong in compression.

Edit: the longer i think about this bow the more i think Mr Schulz cheated this result with that thin layer of carbon under the last layer of the boo 🤣🤣🤣this layer most likely takes most of the load 🤣🤣🤣anyways,...I will have to do my own experiments...

I’m not done with this yet meaning boo on belly and Osage on the back. At 20 inches it felt to good . If it does not take set I think it could be a great combo. Just trying to think on how to run boo through the fades and a overlay at the handle.
Well I'll say!!  Osage is king!!

Arvin, if you are gonna be at the Tenn. Classic talk to James Parker. He's built lots on many different bows with boo bellies from his boo back and belly bows to his Asiatic horn style bows, some with boo bellies.
