How to wrap a corded grip?
« on: August 25, 2008, 08:00:11 am »
I made my first corded grip with some braided nylon, and think it's very functional after getting caught out in a down pour.  Can someone give me some pointers on how to start and terminate the cord in one of these?  Thanks.

I wrap corded handle wraps just like adding the serving on a string...start the wrap and go over the end of the cord with about 5 or 6 wraps. When you get near the other end I lay a separate loop is thin string down with the loop at the terminal end, wrap over it place the tag end into the loop and pull it under the wrap and tighten it.  Also make sure the direction of the wrap is going the same as your fingers will grip the handle. If you go the other way, as you grip you can loosen the wrap.     Pat
