     SailorDad, check the label.  Hershey's has gone cheap.  They changed the formula: Instead of using the Cocoa butter, they are using oil instead.  You can definetly taste the difference.  Not buying Hershey products without the butter!  Some labels say, chockolatey flavor, and something else too.  Check the ingredients.

Hillbilly:
Looks like silicious limestone or really low-grade chert.  I've found a lot of rock similar to that in eastern TN. It'll knap with wooden billets, but is better for big percussion blades and such-hard to get small, sharp points from it.
