sailordad:
thats why we say make one yourself,if you got $150 to spend, thats plenty for a bow kit or stave and tools to get ya going.
plus you learn to MAKE YOUR OWN BOW,that alone is well worth 1000 times the money you put into it.
a skill that will be needed after dec 2012  >:D  lol

the choice is yours, either way is good as long as its trad or primitive.

decisions decisions          either way its all good                         peace,
                                                                                               tim

what would be the best place to start for a bow kit? That way I don't have to start fresh off of something I know very little about. A few of the sites I visited sells kits for 100+

isn't that just 50 dollars under a bow I was planning on buying?

sailordad:
check out RUDDERBOWS ARCHERY.COM

lots of kits on jims website, made several from him, nice stuff
very well priced also.
but it does depend on the woods you want to use also

vCo2v:
Thanks for the link sailordad!

Since I'm still a little unsure about gluing and shaving straight off the bat.

Would this kit be a good deal for me?

Would it be possible to do bring that kit to 60#?

Nick:
What's epe isn't it ipe?
