Great wet weekend, rained from Thursday evening until late Saturday night, very wet at the Buck Hollow shoot, sorta reminded me of the 2010 Classic but had fun just the same. Spent most of Thursday and Friday working on hides, got my freezer all cleaned out and all the hides at least fleshed and ready to rack. It just got to wet for them to stay tight, supposed to be pretty now for a few day so I will get back on them Monday. Here is a few pictures of the fun. Hides hides ad more hides. Got to damp to dry scrape so I just fleshed and racked. ;) :)

Coon skull clean, just needs bleaching. Laid out the handle on my knife and Bill showed up and cut himself out a blade. :)

Helped Shawn with his Osage stave, tweaked it a bit on the form. Skinned a couple of snakes gifted to me from a friend. I think one was from KY. and the other a small boa. My girls just hanging out as usual. :)

Shawn's bow off the form and him starting the tillering process. Knife handle and cap all pinned and glued up. :)

Waiting on the storm to pass and glue to dry on my knife I decided to make another wood mallet and stand for one of my knives.

Then Sunday I couldn't wait to check Margaret Ann's pond after all the rain Saturday and Saturday night. Just dug it is mid September and this is the first time it has been full so I could tell how big it really was going to be. Bigger than I thought so all the rain I guess has it's hidden blessing. It was running out the spill way pipe, just hope it holds. Great weekend, love time in the shop. Hope yall had a good one also. Life is Good. ;) ;)

Wow
The pond got big fast! Need some Bream and Crappie now. Some crawfish to keep the critters coming by to look for a meal and for the small fish to eat when the crawfish spawn. We will catch some out the Red and creek junction this year when water goes low and clear lots of small ones in gravel bar  there.

Thanks, that is Rye grass I sewed for the banks, comes up fast and stays green all winter Kevin, not near that green everywhere  around here yet.
Ya Crawfish would be good Shawn, we will have to do that. If it holds good I plan on putting fish in it this spring, Bream/shell crackers/bass and a few catfish.  ;) I have had really bad luck with ponds I have had dug so we will see, :-\ I had a guy dig this one that really knows what he is doing so I hope this one will be different. ;)
