Got the rest of the Hickory staves laid out last evening ,now just need to floor tiller and to the form. Not going to have many Hickory this year so we are counting on the guys [Matt] ;) that always bring staves/blanks to the Classic, straightened and floor tillered Blanks seem to work better in the Self bow challenge because of the time frame involved especially for the beginner and we get a lot of them. I know their will be plenty. ;) :)

with Marshall only 3 weeks after the Classic I am not sure if I can spare any but will start pushing myself tonight to get some ready and see if I can bring at least a couple with me

Pappy:  I've been working since deer season ended on Osage bow blanks.  I'll have at least a couple dozen, this year.

Bob McMinn called me yesterday to wish me a safe trip to the Classic this weekend. A few weeks ago he called to say he wouldn't be able to make it because his wife was going in for surgery. When I told him that the Classic was at the end of April and not March he said..."NEVER MIND!" He was elated that he will be able to drive me to the Classic.  ;D  We should be there on Tuesday at or shortly after noon...that's Tuesday April 28, not the day before yesterday.  ;)

I can handle the weather Pappy, as long as I don't have the runs through the weekend.  :o
Getting there early really gives us all time to catch up before all the action gets started. Any work projects you have going on Pappy, I'll be willing to help with so just let me know when we get there.  ;)

Thanks, looking forward to meeting you to pappy! Patrick

OK, I reread the last few post and realized I probably sounded a little goofy jumping in the middle there. I think I'm starting to get older. I thought you was talking to me Pappy.  :-[ Patrick

Meant you also Patrick, ;) I love having some free time to just visit, usually by Thursday or Friday free time is hard for me to come by. Got nothing specific right now Pat ,but you just never know around there.  ??? Got the rest of my staves laid out yesterday and also started on the shop clean up, it was raining so a good day for that. :) Hopefully it didn't rain enough to mess up the concrete pouring today for the 2nd new bridge. :) We really want it up and going before the Classic,  ??? but time is running short. I plan on cutting some ERC today for the entrance gate that got torn up last year ,we patched it back but now want a full repair and widen the entrance a bit. Also cutting a tall at least 30 foot ERC for a new flag pole. I won't be there long Saturday. ??? Miss Joanie and I have a date to see Bob Segar in Nashville, been years since we have been to a concert, I think the last was the Bee gees in the early 70's  ;) :) :) looking forward to this one.  ;):) Hope y'all have a good one also see ya Monday.
Life is good. :)
