Name the turd in the Big Cypress Swamp.
« on: April 10, 2010, 04:32:13 am »
Last week I'd gone out hunting for my first time, really.  I didn't shoot a shot.  I did have a couple of opportunities to shoot alligators but I'd figured it'd probably be a really bad idea.  I did sit down to eat for a few minutes and enjoyed the sound of a raccon stalking me, through the marsh.  Took off like a bat'outa'hell at it's first glimpse of me, though.  Wish I had the camera for that!  Even better, a sound recorder for the splashing back to the palmetto stand!
It was a fine day out in the swamp.  Still, a little on the cool side.
That turd sure had a strong smell to it and surprisingly, I felt hungry shortly afterwards.  Does that make me strange?
 ;D
Hope you like the pictures.

Being white like it is, I'd say a gator turd.
Lakeland, Florida
If you have to pull the trigger, is it really archery?

Having seen the same thing in Montana, and in north Fla., I'd say Yote!   ;)

Maybe a little water and bee's wax, then heat a little and it might just be "Shinola" ;D

Timo.... that Shinola reference was something my dad would often say.  Thanks for making me remember!! :)

I can't say that I've actually ever seen Shinola, and growing up my father kept letting me know that they weren't the same thing also.  Is Shinola brown?  I imagine it might be brown...
Is it creamy or lumpy?   ??? ;D
A turd named Doug?  Hmm.
I once met a turd named Doug,
that asked for a sip from my mug,
He smelled kind of strange,
and said "keep the change"
My mug, he surely did chug. :D

Alligator, Eddie?  Can't say I've seen a gator turd yet.  Interesting.
