best so far lifted a splinter -- update " patched"
« on: July 22, 2010, 05:38:36 pm »
Im really happy with this one. It came out better than I could expect.  Its  bamboo backed ipe 64" ntn 55# @ 28" What I like best about this bow is that it is absolutely  dead in my hand. The bamboo and ipe came from David. The handle is made of a black cherry I cut on my dads land, osage, bacote and some kind of a gum that came from Shannon/ Saw filer for the main riser piece. The color of the gum is incredible. I wish I had more of it.  A friend of mine with spray equipment helped me out with the finish but I forgot what it was called. Nice dull finish though. This is the first bow from my newly altered form and I am really happy with it. I had a chance to test it through a crono " not that that means anything :)" it shot 180fps at exactly 10 gpp and 28" draw using fingers which is great to me. Cant wait to take it hunting.      Thanks for looking.

Jesse,
That bow turned out beautiful

I really like the handle shape, the amount of reflex it kept, and the tiller is perfect on it!

Got it bookmarked for July Laminates BOM too!

Once again great job man!

Hey looks awesome! If you don't mind me asking, what kind of finish did you use on that bow?

Again congrats
