First bow (hhb ironwood) finished!! Pics
« on: March 04, 2012, 05:20:26 pm »
Well it's done and it made it! And I couldn't be happier. Though I did learn alot and know that my next one will be even better but man I love this one shoots great and I think looks great. Thanks to everyone for the help and advice and a special thanks to Ryano for explaining to me how to do a beavertail grip. Well here's the stats it's hop horn beam (ironwood) 60" ntn 57lbs @ 28" and the grip is made from a beaver tail. Well hope you all enjoy I think it turned out pretty good for my first bow.
I'm hooked. Mike

Well thanks everyone for the awesome compliments I know I'm proud of it. And it's definitely going to the woods with me this fall! I hope I get an extra tasty buck this year cause that was a lot of work well I don't know if I can call it work it was a lot of fun! But it was all done with a tomahawk, drawknife, knife and rasps. Oh and heat gun to flip the tips. Man what a feeling to shoot the first arrow and have it shoot hard and fast. I'm already planning my second. Thanks again everyone. Couldn't have done it with out ya's!  Mike
