Thanks Bob,
Ghost those are inspirational indeed. The dark one reminded me of camo type coloring. So would that make it a stealth point? ;)

That rock sure is good for being stealthy. Finding a piece good enough to work can be a real challenge. :)

Here is my Snyders. Made from novaculite with ABO tools. Snyders are my all-time favorite style, so this is first time doing point of the month.

Hopewell and Ghost Knapper, great looking  points :) 8)  Hopewell, No rules, everybody is a winner and no losers just show everyone the point that you are trying to replicate an give it your best.  Somebody picks a new point first of each month, Oh maybe go back thru the prior months to what has been done recently so we repeat to much. Awesome piece of novaculite. Using ABO tools is something that I wish to use more of this year. Really like your notches Hopewell.

Those are awesome points Ghost and Hopewell! It is really amazing to see so many knappers making the same point and so far, I'd say our "interpretations" are pretty good.

Thanks guys! Ghost, I make these often so I have practice. What material did you use on yours? Also, hi Ben!

Agreed on our "interpretations". Hopewell Im not 100% sure what the material is. Maybe someone else can help us out on that one, it has some quartz veins running thru it which made for some interesting flake scars.

I wanted to have another done today and it turned out quite nicely. Hopefully I can get a photo that will do it justice. I had to finish it on my dining room floor (carpeted floor) so my time has been dedicated to getting everything cleaned up before the wife gets home. :)

Here is another one made from Keokuck. I opened the notches up on this one.

My daughter traveled to Texas and met with Curt's Cherts and brought back a bucket of rocks. Figured I would try a snyder for the first point. Pictures are both sides.
There are no bad knappers, only bad flakes

Very nice! While I have only been on one, road trips for rock are a blast.
