Tried a couple more. One from a piece of mirror and the other from a flake George S sent me.
Bowmakers are a little bent, but knappers are just plain flaky.

Seem easy to make for the most part. My problem is that they do not meet the state's size requirements to allow for use on big game. :-\

I agree Tower I think I would grind the base and sides up to the side points,then haft them up .After making this point I'm going to make a few and see what they look like on a shaft.

Here's my submission. This is a raw piece of Montrose chert and it worked pretty good. I like this style of point. I think I will play around some more with it. See what I come up with.

Nice points stringman...and all others.  I decided to post.  The first pic is my first trys.  some really hard stuff I found in my mom's landscaping, mullett's coral, sparrow's obs.  second pic I'm happy w/, but still needs alot of work, Indiana Hornstone that Tracy and I spalled in the creek.  Boy I like that stuff.  Thanks for lookin and not laughing in front of me.  :-[     ;) dpg

Here is my attempt, i struggled to get the base portion thinned out.  Ill try again later tonite :D

yessir, Novaculite indeed :D  that was my last decent flake so i will try my next one on some obsidian or tube glass.
