Christmas presents and planting seeds for the future

I have just finished this little bow ,it is for a friends son. He is interested in Archery. He is shooting a fiberglass recurve now. I hope he loves this bow and keeps this love far into the future.
I enjoyed making this bow. It is 50" 20# @ 20" . It is made from a sweet piece of Osage. Which I got from Ridgerunner.
 Hope you enjoy looking as much as I did making it.

Nugget, You are getting quite proficient with osage bows...big and little. Great little bow. I love planting those kinds of seeds.    Way to go. 8)    Pat

I do love my Osage.  ;D I want to start using other wood. Come summer I am going to cut some Red Oak, Hickory  if I can find some ,and some maple. All of which I have hear on the farm.

Maybe the recipient will pass on this fine bow to a youngster in the next generation.  Very nice bow and a considerate gift. Small, or not, it is a Nov Self BOM candidate.

Very nice.  I think it looks great.

  I've never made a kids bow from osage but have a stave that would be perfect for a shorter bow!! ;)

 Your post has inspired me! 8)

 Except I can get too many projects going.  Just cut and scraped some rose shoots this morning too.

I'm envious of the recipient of this fine bow. Straight lines with curves in all the right places. Maybe in many decades I'll be able to provide a son with craftwork like that :)
